How to attach files/pics and various other attachments:
Attaching is pretty simple once you get used to it, whether it is for PM's or for threads!
First when you are making a thread look under the typing box for the Managing Attachments button, click that and a pop up window will appear. Click on browse to find the file/pic/attachment that you want to place. ( normally in pictures/Documents or Downloads) When you find it make sure you click it so it appears in the little bar in the pop up window, then click upload. This should take afew seconds depending on the size of the file/pic/attachment. Sometimes if the file is to large you may have to compress it to a RAR or Zip file and with pictures you may need to reduce the size to a JPEG.
Once your upload has taken place it will appear underneath to tell you it has uploaded.
If you want to place the file/pic or attachment in a certain place in the thread , simply place your mouse curser to the area destination then tap it to stay there, then go to the top of the typing box to look at the first line of the symbols. Here you will see a small clip (third symbol in from the right) Click that and it will drop down to reveal the attachments. Click the attachment that you want to place and it should then appear in your thread. I always find by preveiwing the thread before submitting helps to see what the thread will look like, that way if you are not happy you can edit or change things before posting!
Easier ways of posting Pics/Images:
It is preferred if you use a image hosting account that way you can post pics without using to much bandwith
Another way to post a picture is to click on the symbol that is for adding images ( this is for those of you who have a image hosting account where you can store pictures other than in your PC files, normally Photobucket , Imageshack ect ) This is found on the second row of symbols and is the sixth symbol in from the right. A pop up window will appear with a HTTP link where you can place your image link from the site where it is stored. This will be the direct link that begins with http:// . C+P that link into the bar.Once you have placed the link in the bar click ok and the Image will appear whereever you placed your curser to go to.
Also you can choose to use the IMG code way too, where basically you just click on the IMG code link from the image hosting site and C+P that link to whereever you want to place it in the thread (always checking it has the IMG code boxes around the link )
How to code your links:
So if you want to code your links for various reasons whether it be for a website address or simply to post a link for warez , all you have to do is simply , look at the second line of symbols and look for the symbol # which is forth in from the right. You will get two boxes which then say code inside, place the link directly in between the two boxes and hey presto thats coded. Again i would preview the thread to check whether you have coded the link correctly.
It is most important to code live links as we do NOT tolerate this. And often results in them having to be edited. So PLEASE try to code your links at all times!
